Independent sourcing service. Not wick buildings, not a manufacturer or an authorized dealer, and not affiliated with wick buildings. We source and compare alternative products; we do not claim to supply the original brand. GridPath Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner.

Independent desk

GridPath Sourcing explains the quote desk, not a factory history

You can use this page to see what the desk will and will not do. GridPath Sourcing coordinates questions and lines up factory replies for steel warehouses, workshops, and hangars. It does not own a plant, publish a capacity, or stand in for the brand a buyer typed into search.

Review RFQ Checklist
  1. Write the use and the feet.
  2. Mark loads that are still unknown.
  3. Split shell from installation.
  4. Name the destination and the quantity.
  5. Ask for drawings of the quoted system.
  6. Leave the award with your project team.

A sequence of checks, not a company timeline

There is no founding year to display, because a year would imply a manufacturing history this desk does not have. The vertical list is the order a brief usually travels.

  1. Brief

Capture the reference and the geometry

The searched name stays a reference. Length, width, eave height, bay spacing, and clear span are written in feet before anyone is asked for a number.

  2. Match

Ask more than one factory the same question

Each request repeats the occupancy, the destination, and whether the package is a shell, a delivered kit, an installed frame, or a broader turnkey list.

  3. Compare

Mark every line included, excluded, or open

Freight, tax, foundation interface, and a crane lift plan stay visible. A missing ground snow load is not filled in to make two replies look tidy.

  4. Hand off

Return the file to the buyer

Your engineer and your contracting authority accept substitutions. The desk does not award the building and does not claim a code approval.

Six boundaries that keep the desk honest

No original-brand supply

Alternative systems are what the desk can ask factories to quote. A compatibility claim needs the supplier’s own statement for that system.

No borrowed certificates

AISC 360, AWS D1.1, IAS AC472, and ISO 9001 are questions for the plant that would fabricate the frame. They are not credentials of GridPath Sourcing.

No blended totals

Shell, delivered, installed, and turnkey stay in separate columns so a smaller scope is not praised as a better price.

No invented loads

Wind speed, wind exposure category, ground snow load, and seismic design category are copied from your engineer or left blank.

No stock list

Catalog cards are inquiry options. An empty image means no photo is on file, not that a frame is waiting in a yard.

No published rate

There is no price per square foot on this site. A budget you offer is optional and is not treated as a quotation already in hand.

A buyer who needs a hangar door in the same package as the rigid frame should say so in the first message. A buyer who only wants primary frame and secondary framing should say that too. The difference is a scope choice, not a personality of the desk. High-end, mid-range, budget, or undecided describes the kind of supplier conversation you prefer. It is not a grade we have audited.

Start with the brief, not with a brand order

Send the use, the dimensions, the quantity, the destination, and the timing. GridPath Sourcing will organize the questions that still need a factory answer.

The desk reviews the written scope and can ask factories for quotations on that basis. Read the Privacy Policy. Stock, price, code compliance, and brand compatibility stay unconfirmed until a named supplier answers the exact system.
